Sat, 23 June 2007 I don't post this kind of thing very often but as longtime listeners of the show already know, I'm a longtime Chicago Cubs fan. I grew up watching them as a child on WGN and have always been a fan, despite many many years of sucktitude. When I met Beth a few years ago I was pleased to learn that I had something in common with her father, that being a love for baseball. Ironically enough, it turns out that her dad is a Chicago White Sox fan and an adamant Cub hater. I never realized there was this much animosity between the two teams as a kid, seeing as how the clubs are in separate leagues and never played each other in those days. When the White Sox won the World Series a couple of years ago, Beth's dad made sit and watch the entire 5 hour parade celebration on VHS with him. Fast forward to today where so far this season the Cubs have beaten the Sox four out of five games. Watching the game earlier today I finally started to notice the difference between Cub fans and Sox fans and luckily enough, thanks to the power of the internets, someone on YouTube! has also.
